Simply reiterating Ridley's observation a while back about the stupid stuff people do with facebook.

Which more of you should be signing up for, by the way.

Facebook. Not stupid stuff.

I read an article similar to that in the NY Times a few weeks ago. A few GWU students were getting fed up with the busts, and so they wrote notes about a "beer party."
The police crashed the party, and the students, holding cookies with the word "BEER" written on them, offered some to them. There were cups with BEER written on them, and filled with soda, and a cake with "BEER" written on it, too. There are pictures. The police did not find it nearly as amusing as the students, and the pictures of their faces are priceless.

I searched nytimes.com, and I think Meredith is referring to the article "In Your Facebook.com"... which unfortunately is open to subscription users only, one of which I am not. So if anybody could somehow get the article (with photos and all)... that'd be quality entertainment.

There's a huge uproar about this in my city right now. A bunch of kids from East Grand Rapids High School posted pictures of themselves drinking on a photo album like something on facebook, and some other kids' parents saw them and reported them to the school. Now all the idiot kids are suspended and banned from school events and everyone's blaming the school. The wierdest part to me is, why were the parents looking at the pictures in the first place? The sense I get is parents learn about their kids' lives by reading their xangas, and whatever happened to talking? I don't know about you guys, but I talk to my parents. Am I unusual? I actually tell them I love them-should I be studied for mental irregularities?

Oh, there's a white-out outside! Beautiful snow! Where have you been all January?! I'm going skiing!

Ooh, this whole discussion just reminded me of that joke photo we admired at TASP involving a pile of powdered sugar, a plastic straw, an apparently unconscious random kid and Charles Wu - definitely not one to post on facebook.

Wait a second...isn't that in the photobucket?! Oh no, Charles Wu! You can kiss MIT goodbye! (just kidding, it's not on there and they'd love to have you even if it were)
