Summer stuff

I'm going to Rhode Island for the summer! I got into a computer graphics research program at URI (which is in the city of Kingston, not quite 2 hours south of Boston). Time for some serious reunion planning, Northeastern TASPers.

Also, one of the UMich 07 TASPers contacted Ruth and asked for advice about what to see and do in Ann Arbor and environs while at TASP. Suggestions go as comments to this post, please.

Groetjes,
Sam

- The brick wall smeared with messages in chewed bubblegum (in an alley near the Michigan Theater)
- Washtenaw Dairy ( > Stucchi's)
- The ice cream vending machine in the bottom of the building with the Fishbowl
- The coffee/hot-chocolate machine in the same building that gave out free drinks for one weekend
- The Farmer's Market at the Kerrytown Mall (early but worth it)
- Playing the Kerrytown Chimes (yay research!)
- Music Listening Library on North Campus

The Michigan Theater was indeed the weird indie movie theater. They also did silent films with live organ music (played by my research subject).

And absolutely, Charles, I'm hoping to make it up to Boston at least once or twice. : )

Remember the Arcade? What was it called again?

And there's that Pop Art museum out there as well.

We should ask them if they still have all those fans that our reliable Homeland Security bought!

The arcade was Pinball Pete's.

And what was the name of that liquor store we got looza from?

Looza is entirely necessary for summer fun.

The liquor store was called The Village Corner, I think.

We can do the reunion any weekend after June 18 and before August as far as I'm concerned.

UMich's art museum! Great traveling exhibits. When we were there, Emily and I went to see the pop art exhibit, and they had pretty much every great pop artist that ever existed. It was awesome.

And Stucchi's. :)
