Rocky's Horror on Generation Y

All right, I was told today that if someone like me had not seen Rocky Horror Picture Show, then our generation, (we're generation Y right?) is spiraling down the tube. I hear it's one of the most famous cult classics around, so I'll probably check it out this weekend. But I figured if no one in TASP has seen it, then G-Y must truly be doomed. Any viewers?

Also, for the TASP wiki, should I put my info in there despite my delayed college-hood?

Man, that red clashes with the color scheme so disturbingly I feel like Senator McCarthy.

Henrik, that red font makes me want to stab myself in the eyes. It has this bloody feel to it, like there's news of impending doom, or i'm in a horror movie involving the internet.

I am proud to report that not only have I seen Rocky Horror Picture Show, I have in fact gone to a midnight showing where everyone knew all the lines and songs, talked to the movie, and threw toast (that was the one activity I participated in).

But I should note that I still think you're neat, even if the font color was sort of surprising.

I haven't seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and I hence cannot comment on its aesthetic or cultish merit. But why is it that we should be bound by the cult favorites of previous generations? Don't we, as the new generation, have the right to let such things die away if we so choose, replacing them with our own new cult icons (*cough cough* Napoleon Dynamite *cough cough*)? The idea that G-Y is "spiralling down the tubes" because we haven't seen RHPS sounds like the rhetoric of a firmly entrenched artistic conservative, unwilling to give credit to new culture. :)

Not that old cult movies are necessarily bad or something. I really liked Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail.

And I think you should definitely post your info. Just change it when your college-hood emerges from its delay.

And yes, I think you should put up your PG year info.

Rocky Horror seems like it would be the most bizarre movie experience ever.

I must remember to watch at some point.
