diet coke and mentos. Mmmm. I don't know if you guys have ever tried this in real life, but regardless you have to watch the video. It's a replica of the Belagio fountains in Las Vegas and quite a musicking experience to boot.

I've actually done this, and it does work quite well, though my technique was not really so great (we wasted a few bottles). Apparently the massive spouting is caused by cavitation on the mentos surface, so I think really bubbly soda (Vernor's!) will work the best. Hmmm... off to try this now...
