The Big Nasty College Thread (With Pointy Teeth)

Well, we couldn't ignore the 800-pound gorilla sitting in the corner forever, so I guess I'll be the first one to point it out. Fall is college app (aka stressy essaying) time, and I suppose you are all feeling it. So where are you boys and girls applying? More to the point, what is your first choice? I'm shooting early for MIT, with Harvard and Cornell as alternate choices. y su, seƱores?

P.S. This means you too, Adam!

Oh, I guess Harvard would be an acceptable fall back option....

(that's sarcasm for lack of a facial expression)

#1 is Georgetown, then Carleton, Macalester, and a good but close to home and perhaps slightly theologically stiffling (though very affordable because my mum teaches there) college in my city called Calvin (after John Calvin).

For me the long shot (but a definite first choice) is Deep Springs. number twos are McGill and St. olaf although a couple of my teachers are gunning for me to go to MIT and my violin teacher wants me to go to Cornell

Princeton is far and away my first choice...

but being an international student and all, I'm feeling very down about my chances. Second spot is tied between MIT (also super unrealistic) and Cambridge (where I have decent chances).

I've got 11 so far, but I'm hoping to trim it down during my big college tour. In no particular order after no. 1,
1. Stanford (probably number one)
2. Duke
3. Princeton
4. Harvard
5. MIT
6. CalTech (call me insane if you want)
7. UC Berkeley
8. UMich
9. Cornell
10. McGill
11. BYU

Ehm, by alternates I mean on about the same level as MIT for me. WashU is my backup, maybe?
